What was once a farmer’s market has become one of downtown Reading’s most distinctive dining destinations. Judy’s on Cherry is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant where historic character, warm hospitality, and thoughtfully prepared food come together in a setting unlike any other in Berks County.

Step inside and you’ll find soaring vaulted wooden ceilings, exposed architectural details, and the warm glow of our signature wood-fired hearth. At the heart of our kitchen, the hearth brings depth and character to our menu—from freshly baked focaccia and artisan pizzas to Mediterranean-inspired entrées, pastas, small plates, and seasonal specialties.

A New Chapter, Rooted in Tradition

Judy’s on Cherry has been part of the downtown Reading dining scene since 2002, when local chef and restaurateur Judy Henry transformed the historic space into the restaurant that generations of guests have come to know and love.

In 2026, Judy’s on Cherry entered a new chapter under the ownership. While the restaurant continues to honor the history and character that made Judy’s a Reading favorite, our vision is focused on its future—elevating the dining experience, introducing fresh ideas, and continuing to create a destination that gives both longtime guests and new visitors a reason to experience downtown Reading.
